From tree to plank

Raw material, sawing technology, drying, adjustment, planing and loading. Below we guide you through the process – how the timber is refined into the majority of timber products of the highest quality.

1. Raw material

The timber we process comes from the forests around western / northern Värmland and southern Dalarna. Among the most important characteristics is that the timber is long, straight, densely, grown and with healthy branches. That is why we invest in becoming one of the best suppliers on the market for raw materials to be planed into panels and cladding.

2. Transport

Deliveries are made from the local area to have as small environmental impact as possible.

3. Measurement

Measurement takes place with the help of a 3D scanner and is handled by Biometria, which is an independent party to ensure that everything is correct.

4. Sawing technology

We have a top modern HewSaw R200 with facing blades in which we cut small logs with a diameter from 10 cm up to 24 cm. The entire log is used, the largest part becomes planks and boards, the cellulose chips goes to local pulp mills, the sawdust is made into pellets and the bark is used in our own boiler. Nothing goes to waste.

5. Drying

To reach the correct moisture content, the wood is dried in modern kilns from Valutec.

6. Sorting Line

The wood is graded with camera-sorting from FinScan, which means that we get a consistent quality.

7. Packaging

Package ready for delivery and ready going out to the customer.
